Texas Family Magazine is a 100% paid circulation, statewide parenting and family values magazine. The publication is currently available at most major newsstand locations throughout the State of Texas (partial list of retailers) as well as via postcard and online subscription.  

Texas Family is dedicated to the preservation of family and the promotion of family values.  As the only state-wide, Texas-focused magazine dedicated to the family, with a core readership of 25-45 women, TFM is differentiated from its peers by both content and audience.  Content is focused on parenting and education-related issues, women's fashion, and cooking, all with a Texas spin (recognizing our great State's unique culture), and Texas Travel.

The magazine seeks to provide a valuable and lasting educational resources for parents, and as such, relies heavily on the input of an Editoral Advisory Board comprised of some of the State's top educators, physicians, and therapists and a Contributing Writing Team which includes an Emmy Award Winner, Amy Durham, and authors who work with national magazines including Essence, Black Enterprise, Newsweek, Glamour, Parenting, Oxygen, Seventeen, Pregnancy, the Houston Chroncile, the Dallas Morning News, the Boston Phoenix, the Chicago Tribune, the Los Angeles Times, the Prague Post, and the Village Voice.

Each issue of Texas Family Magazine includes a cover story, three feature stories, and a series of special interest columns all devoted to some aspect or issue relating to family values.  All issues contain full feature-length cover stories which highlight the theme of that particular issue.  By building each issue around a central theme, Texas Family Magazine intends to increase the educational value of the content provided.  A main idea and/or theme is introduced, and then investigated from various angels through three different articles.  One feature-length article will give a general overview of the theme, while other articles highlight prominent Texas newsmakers and get their views on the topic.  Texas Family Magazine believes that rather than bombarding readers with too many bits of dissociated information, focusing on a theme helps ensure that the magazine’s content will be relevant and useful, and that Texas Family will be an enduring resource.

Texas Family is the official publication partner of the Texas PTA, and as such, provides issues to PTA members and leaders at a discount, supports PTA functions, and relies on PTA leadership and experts for educational content.  The magazine also offers a program, unique among magazines in its generosity, whereby local PTA and schools are compensated on a 50% / 50% basis for the door-to-door or internet sale of the magazine, so long as such fundraising program benefits children and/or education.  TFM has recently expanded the fundraising opportunity to other non-profits, including Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and orphanages.  TFM is also a strategic partner of Radio Disney, with which its cross-markets brands and family friendly events in the State of Texas.
